Max Bitterman founded this organization on the belief that all dogs can be good dogs. This is what drives us to build and create new opportunities to help dogs become happy and balanced family companions. We have been improving the lives of dogs and their families since 2009. We thank you for supporting our team and allowing us to help keep Minneapolis a great place for dogs, their families and neighbors. :)
Improving the lives of dogs and their families since 2009
At Your Dog's Best Friend, we spend our days hosting dog groups where we teach owners how to "Dog Whisper" and help dogs socialize in a positive environment. We work with several veterinary hospitals and rescue agencies to create great dogs when all hope seems to be lost. We do in-home training to help dog owners rehabilitate dog behavior problems and learn how to manage dog behavior themselves. You will see Your Dog's Best Friend at all of the major dog events throughout the region reaching out to dog owners, giving seminars and being Your Dog's Best Friend!
Neil Kapphahn has been working with and training dogs for many years. Over the last several years he has taken his knowledge and experience in behavior rehabilitation to the highest of levels. Neil has consistently shown an aptitude for helping rescue dogs who have gotten off to a rough start and need a second chance become well adjusted, playful and confident canine companions.
Day to day, Neil does private sessions to help local dog owners with the most stubborn and difficult dogs find a powerful way to connect and communicate with their dogs. He loves the opportunity to teach instinctual dog communication to MN dog owners so they can experience the frictionless and fulfilling approach of relating to and loving a dog in terms they were born to understand.

Teresa dedicates her life to helping those who are struggling to make things work with their dog. Day to day, you will find her at local dog parks, running boot camps for puppy basics and dogs that need a second change and doing in-home training to help other MN dog owners become excellent trainers themselves.

For those who train dogs, walk dogs, work at doggie daycares, breed dogs or own multiple dogs this one is for you! Even if you just have one dog or do not even have a dog but only a thirst for knowledge you will love this! Observing and studying packs of dogs allows us to tap into the instinctual conversations that create the social environment we see. Just like us, their social structures are defined by trust, respect, loyalty & love. Their friendships are based on similar interests, complimentary needs or attractive energy. By learning and understanding who our sensitive dogs are, who our happy go lucky dogs are, who our selfless protection and direction dogs are and who is feeling unstable and needs extra help finding their place we can get involved in an influential way to create peace and harmony for the pack. There is nothing more rewarding for a dog lover than the feeling you get from your dogs' clear communications of loyalty and support when you learn how to play the true pack leader role.
